A strip of scalp is removed from the nape of the neck for transplantation to the thinning area.The wound caused by the removal of this area is then sutured back together and concealed.

Follicles obtained from this piece of scalp tissue are then cut in to small groups,each composed of one, two or three follicles.These grouped follicles are then transplanted into the channels opened in the thinning area, completing the hair transplantation.
